3 Ways to Prep for Your Boudoir Shoot

Whether or not you have an upcoming boudoir shoot booked with me or are considering booking one, I’m sure you have a few questions about what you should do to prepare for it. You can do a few things to prep for your boudoir shoot that will help calm your nerves and make you feel ready and confident to get in front of the camera.

Stretch, stretch, stretch

During your photoshoot, I will guide you into poses that compliment your body and accentuate your favorite features. And, the more flexible you are, the longer and more comfortable you’ll be able to hold each pose so I can capture the perfect photo. Some of the best stretches to do before your photoshoot are: Cat-Cow, Spinal Twist, Childs Pose, and the Lotus Pose.

Stay Hydrated

Keep you and your skin hydrated leading up to your boudoir shoot. This means you might want to skip the alcohol and trade it in for water for a few days leading up to your session. Trading in alcohol for water will help you de-bloat, and it will also leave your skin with a healthy glow. On top of increasing your water intake before your photo shoot, you should also be moisturizing your skin daily and after each shower. Doing this will have your skin looking youthful and healthy in your pictures.

Have a few outfits ready to go

Before the day of your photoshoot, it is important that you have a few outfits picked out that make you feel confident and sexy. Having these outfits ready to go will ensure that you feel your best during your photoshoot! But, that doesn’t mean to bring your entire wardrobe either — make sure you have options. Don’t forget we also have the client closet to pull from if needed!
